Epilogue About Zoos

They came, they actually came! I was so happy that I could have run up and kissed them, but that wouldn’t be appropriate. And to think, I had doubts about them coming at all. I woke up like any other day: lonely. I missed Conchetta so much, I wisheed she were there for that special day. But then again, Miss Truman and Mr. Wandermeyer did say that they were very busy. What if they didn’t come to the zoo at all? They were charity workers, they probably had a lot of stops to make still. But, I thought I might as well go anyway to see Bobo. “Just offer it a peanut,” I started, “He likes you. Ha,Ha.”
After the peacock incident, Miss Truman was acting strangely. Her eyes were darting everywhere as if she was looking nervously for something or someone. Maybe she was still a bit frazzled. It’ll probably wear off in a bit, I hoped she was okay. Next we decided to go to the nocturnal room, one of my favorite places! The nocturnal room also seemed to appeal to Mr. Wandermeyer, that made me happy. After the nocturnal room, we decided to go to the snake house. Miss Truman didn’t seem to enjoy snakes as much, so she stayed outside and did a little quiz on the outside of the building. Next was the part I was most excited for, getting to introduce Miss Truman and Mr. Wandermeyer to Bobo! We headed off to the primate house with Miss Truman and Mr. Wandermeyer jogging at my heels.
“I want you to meet Bobo,” I said happily.
“Bobo?”, Mr. Wandermeyer asked, both his and Miss Truman’s eyes widening.
“My best friend,” I stated.
“Bobo?” I called into the cage. “Bobo? Come out and say

Lange captures a moment between two “American” college students in 1942 that gives her an alchemist position by turning an erroneous, acrimonious point of time into a cooperative and patriotic time across the races in America, adding onto our misremembered past. Lange’s position was granted by the government to show that they were not mistreating the people they were evacuating, but through subliminal imagery depicted in the men’s body language, wardrobe, and their surroundings, she was able to show the reality of America during World War II. Authors like Okada and Kelley also assisted in helping show how American “nationalism” is lived and viewed in the perspective of the minorities in America during the time of this war. One of the objectives…
