Generalized Seizure

Absent Seizure
sometimes called petit mal seizures, can cause rapid blinking or a few seconds of staring into space.
Tonic-clonic seizures
also called grand mal seizures, can make a person:
Cry out
Lose consciousness
Fall to the ground
Have muscle jerks or spasms.
The person may feel tired after a tonic-clonic seizure.
Focal seizures are located in just one area of the brain. These seizures are also called partial seizures.

Such (Figure 2.) conditions are; a stroke, brain tumor, or a traumatic brain injury. This is a epilepsy CT (computerized tomography) Scan. A normal scan is represented by Figure 2. In figure 1, there is a small part that is different than in figure 2. Many people who are diagnosed are under 20 and the elderly.
Epilepsy affects the dimensions of wellness by having negative physically, occupationally, and financially. Some people with photosensitive epilepsy can have a hard time finding occupations involving photography or other flashing lights. Others with epilepsy cannot drink alcohol, because it could be a trigger. This condition can affect them physically by having unusual brain activity causing the victim to have uncontrollable movement or nonresponsive episodes. Epilepsy affects the emotional and mental aspects of life. Mentally, the victim is constantly worrying over what could trigger another seizure? What could I do to prevent another one? The emotional and social aspects of their life are affected by lowering the self-esteem. Their self-esteem could lower at the thought of “what would happen if I had seizure at school?” or “what would my friends think?”. The spiritual aspect is affected by turning towards their religion to help either
