Purple Day is an awareness day created in Australia in 2010, with the main purpose of creates a positive and safe environment for all LQBTQ+ students, and to stop transphobia and homophobia at schools.
This awareness day has expanded over the years, and during 201* it reached the attention of a small group of students at John Fraser Secondary School. This group known as Positive Space has the mission to provide a safe environment for all students regardless of their sexuality, background, age, or religion. Therefore, after learning about Purple Day they decided to implement it in their school and support this cause. Nowadays, Purple Day has become a "tradition" on John Fraser Secondary School, and it gives the opportunity to all students to be part of this awareness day.…
