Eosinophilic gastroenteritis (EGE) is one of the major causes of peripheral and tissue eosinophilia. EGE presents one member within the spectrum of diseases collectively referred to as eosinophilic gastrointestinal disorders (EGIDs), which includes eosinophilic esophagitis (EoE), gastritis, enteritis, and colitis[5]. It is a rare disease and pathophysiology is not clearly understood. The diagnosis of EG is difficult due to its various form of clinical presentation, and it requires a high index of clinical suspicion[6]. EGE should be included in differential diagnosis in patients with peripheral eosinophilia, applied with gastrointestinal symptoms, because eosinophilia is observed at peripheral blood in 30% to 80% of the cases[7]. One case report about EGE presenting as acute pancreatitis due to milk allergy was published[10]. Another case report of EGE presenting as acute pancreatitis in a patient due to egg shell allergy was also published[11]. These reports indicate that pancreatitis, can, very well result from EGE. However, in our case, the patient did not have history of food allergy. A possible mechanism by which food hypersensitivity-related EG may cause acute pancreatitis is due to obstruction of the pancreatic duct from local duodenal inflammation[12]. Review of the literature shows that CT findings are variable, ranging from relatively normal[13] to showing evidence of common bile duct dilatation[14]. In our case, the CT scan of abdomen revealed normal pancreas even though biochemical markers like serum amylase and lipase were significantly higher. A common feature among patients with EG-related pancreatitis is peripheral eosinophilia[15]. Corticosteroids are the mainstay of treatment of eosinophilic
