Enzo's RV: A Short Story

Improved Essays
As Enzo lurked through the streets of urban Los Angeles lighting up a cigarette, he reeked of pungent odors of smoke and pollution. Honking cars drove through the ruptured potholes on the surface of the streets with fearful intensity. The slight cold night breeze and flash of lights in the night sky illuminated Enzo’s red RV. Originally from East Chicago, Enzo instantly moved to Los Angeles to start a new life and put the past behind him as he went into a deep sleep. Waking up in the comfort of his old beat up RV from a long slumber at one P.M. was the start of his day. He took a shower, brushed his teeth, and prepared for the rest of his day like any other person. However, he didn’t work any nine to five job. He swiftly put on his black ski mask on, applying two black gloves, and exclaiming towards his crowbar,
“which one of you will be my little helper today?” He made direct eye contact with the shiny crowbar and picked the one that suited his “job” for the day. He proceeded to open his flip phone the size of a brick and called multiple people saying,”let’s go boys.” The phone made a slight slapping noise when he closed the flip phone. Enzo walked out of his RV deviously making sure everything was clear. The wind glistened through his luscious hazelnut hair, while his

The mysterious man rushed toward him as he was robbing the bank, and exclaimed in a hoarse voice,”you have done wrong, and for that you shall be punished!” Within seconds Enzo heard the sirens screeching as if it were piercing through his ears. Enzo’s powers were all discharged from him as he was converted to his normal self. Multiple police cars came in pursuit to capture Enzo. A policeman swiftly whipped out wis gun and pulled the metal trigger. As the bullet, a silent killer in the air, sailed towards Enzo, it was nothing but gushing blood. Shouting in pain, Enzo exclaimed,” Power, there’s too much of it!,” as he fell to his

One thing that surprised me about the car was that the car tires were filled with nitrogen gas instead of compressed air. Nitrogen is a colorless and odorless non-toxic gas used to reduce the temperature of the tire and increase its lifespan. In races, it may be able to keep tire pressure more constant and slow pressure loss without reacting to the tire and rim materials. Another thing that surprised me about the car was its design and build. What really caught my eye was that the inside of the body shell of the car.…

The Neighborhood and the Problem The film Gran Torino is set in an urban neighborhood in what could be presumed to be Detroit, Michigan. It is clear from visual evidence presented in the film that the neighborhood has taken a turn from a once prosperous middle class suburb amidst the boon of a thriving motor company’s influence, to a poverty-stricken, immigrant dominated zone. Many scenes of the neighborhood throughout the movie lead the viewers through familiar sites of a poor ghetto: trash littered dirt yards, abandoned buildings, and chain link fences all set the tone.…
