The implementation of such plans has been a great challenge due to the lacking support of the government and by the people themselves. Most often the responsibility rests on the different government agencies. That is why environmental sustainability topics and lectures have been integrated in the education sector because of the accessibility of information for a wider range of population. It is one of the best avenues by which students develop values of change and character. As cited by (Priyanto, Fanani, Soemarno, Sasmitojati, 2013), awareness for the environment can be embedded effectively through education at schools. Education greatly influences the physical development, the soul (mind, feeling and volition), social and human morality as well as an important tool to nurture positive values. It was underscored that sustainable development can be achieved through education; because education is a means to change the perceptions, attitudes, and human behavior.
