People where forced to make choices: from eating less, not sending children to school, or not even going to the hospital when feeling ill. As stated by the character Daniel in the movie Tambien la lluvia, “water is life”. This demonstrates that people where willing to fight and risk their life because if they didn’t they might still die without water. After being abused for a long time the people began fighting back. The people were seeking water and in response obtained tear gases, the people wanted justice and in return obtained bullets. As a result of these immoral acts many individuals got injured. In the fight for their water rights, people lost arms, legs, where left handicapped and in the worst-case death emerged.
