Moral standing is when value is placed on certain things and this value is used to determine if something is morally acceptable or not. Humans have moral standing when they do something for the individuals sake and not for their or someone else ' benefit. There are different ethical approaches that focus on the morality (right or wrong) of human behavior and their impact on the environment, and this paper covers five that will argue for the best suited to resolve environmental issues. This paper argues that Ecocentric Ethics is the best approach to environmental ethics.
