Introduction
A hybrid car is one that uses more than one engine, mostly two or more. It may contain an eclectic motor and a convectional engine that can either be using petrol or diesel. The electric engine is responsible for powering the car during low speeds whereas the gas engine powers the car in high speeds only. Some of these hybrid cars for example the Toyota Prius and the Civic Hybrid produces less emissions of carbon dioxide in addition to the less fuel consumption rate. The lack of knowledge concerning this type of cars has limited their usage by people in the country. Most individuals are not aware how the hybrid cars operate and if they are good as any other car that uses gasoline (Cignini, 2014).
Since the invention of such cars in the 1900s, manufacturing companies have now made it possible for citizens to acquire the different models at affordable prices. Governments around the world have create incentive programs that utilizes credits and discounts to support the purchasing of hybrid cars. Currently cities in developed countries are switching the public transportation systems into hybrid cars and buses as an initiative program to form a more environmental stable conditions in the cities and towns (Fricke and Frost, 2012). However, individuals that do not have the proper understandings of these types of cars mistake hybrid vehicles with electric cars. The distinguishing feature between the two types of cars is that the hybrid model often uses gasoline combusting machines which uses the electric bits to gather and reuse energy which normally go to waste in the standard cars. The electric cars typically utilize electricity as the primary alternate fuel. The technological advances are now coming up with cars that us propane and natural gas (Graham-Rowe, 2011). How Hybrid cars conserve Energy Hybrid cars contains two engines which are typically the gasoline engine and the electric engine. The cars use a single gallon to drive for a distance of five miles in average. This energy consumption rate is lower compared to the standard cars. Studies in oil consumption rate indicated that the usage of hybrid cars saves the United States approximately two million barrels of oil in one day due to the better gas mileage property. The use of hybrid cars has decreased drilling opportunities in most countries around the globe. The pressure that advocates for lowering of the dependence in foreign drilling has resulted to increased potential to harm wildlife and the nature. However, with the increased reliance on hybrid cars, the demand for fuel has been cut down to lower levels thus conserving the depleted energy resources such as oil reserves in the country (Hantula and Voege, 2010). Hybrid cars are less dependable on fossil fuels. The hybrid model is cleaner and utilizes less fuel. This in turn result to less gas emissions hence their dependence on fossil fuel is cut down. In large scale view this advantage reduces the prices of gasoline in the global and domestic markets and on the other hand aid in conservation of the gasoline that is already not enough to server the country efficiently. The resources in the residential areas of people can be utilized in attempt of maintaining and sustaining the hybrid cars. There is also the need for people to search available credits and discounts that can help them lower the cost of purchase of the cars. Hybrid cars or not, the less an individual drives any model of car the better it is for the environment. The hybrid cars cover several environmental aspects that ensure the environment is protected from pollution and other factors that can deteriorate the balanced atmospheric system. In the attempt to meet ecological requirements, the car design ensure reduction of emissions that are released in open air. Minimum carbon dioxide emissions are released compared to the standards cars. In addition to that the cars used very minimal amounts of fuel thus the conservation of natural oil reserves in the country is attained. The cars have ensured that the dependence on fossil fuels is eliminated and the levels of carbon imprints on the environment are lowered thus protecting the already depleted ozone layer of the
