1. Use the person-in-environment and ecological models to conduct an assessment of Kenisha’s situation. Describe the difficulties she faced and reflect on their potential causes by identifying specific risk factors present in her case. Address risks at different levels of the system, i.e. individual, family, neighborhood, etc. Please describe in detail how these risks affected Kenisha and her situation.
Kenisha didn’t start out facing difficulties, although she did drop out of high school her senior year, she did later receive her GED while pregnant with her first child. She had little to non-jobs, she relyed on welfare when she wasn’t working and she was often supported by sugar daddies. When she was in her twenties she completed an eight-month course at a local business college and became employed with a government agency as a receptionist.
She started facing difficulties when her mother died of breast cancer. She quit her job due to stress and began using crack cocaine and shortly her daughter Ketanya went to go live with her paternal grandmother. Kenisha continued to receive support from short-term jobs, General assistance and her sugar daddies. When Kenisha gave birth to her son Shaunel in 1989, unfortunately he was born addicted to

Although Kentanya lived with her paternal grandmother it was never stated if Kenisha and her daughter had a relationship. And that goes on for her deceased son Shaunel she often visited him in the hospital, she felt guilty about him being in a foster home instead of her care. And if he wasn’t put in that foster home he would have been alive; her remorse over his death makes her question her parenting skills. Family members was a big part of Kenisha’s situation; her two daughters Olisa and Dacey was sent to be with an aunt, Kentanya lived with her grandmother.
