Ents: A Short Story

Improved Essays
Once upon a time, there was a population of Ents (tree beasts) that inhabited trees. They could move through trees, and would protect a forest at any cost. They were huge, about the size of a large oak, and took on the form of whatever tree they were currently inhabiting. As soon as a Ent moved into a tree, the tree could move as the Ent it. Therefore, if there was a nearby forest, an attack from Ents was almost impossible to defend from, even if there were two or three Ents. Ents came in a variety of species, one for every species of tree known to man. I saw him walking towards the city with a flag of some sort.” “Why would he be doing that, might I ask?” “Rebuilding the city, I guess.” “So that would be why the city grew so quickly.” By now, a Ents are slow and careful in their speech, and had just used up a few hours, Dale was triple what it had been at it’s former glory, and was surrounded by ten walls, with archers and guards and more of the sort. “So we must attack.”
The Ents spent about three seconds getting to the edge of the forest, as they can teleport between two trees of their species. Within a minute, all of the Ent population was at the edge of the forest. The Ents completely demolished Dale as they always did. It to several more hours than usual, but the city was still destroyed.

Reauicnabloyw was dismayed that he was not able to finish the city before the rest of the Ents destroyed it, so he waited patiently until the citizens of Dale had rebuilt the city and talked to
