The responsibilities of an accountant include preparing asset, liability, and capital account entries by compiling and analyzing account information. They also have to document financial transactions, and recommend financial actions by analyzing accounting options. They are responsible for payroll and ensuing that all taxes are paid. I chose this career branch because I have lots of potential to be successful and it requires skills that I plan to use a lot in life. My hope is that by working as an accountant I will gain an understanding on how a business function so that i can one day open a business and know how to properly manage it.
