Without aerospace engineers the world would be a very different place. Planes, spacecraft and helicopters would never be here. Aerospace engineers can work for many different companies that are world famous, even the government hires most of them. Northrup, Boeing, the U.S government, and other country’s governments. Governments pay the most out of all the companies and have the most diverse field in aerospace because of the different programs they have. Stephen Engler, who graduated from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in New York, did a dual major in Civil engineering and Industrial engineering, which provided him many more opportunities, “Taking a dual major was difficult, but well worth it in the end. It opens a lot more options and really sets you apart from the other 20 people applying for the same job.” (Engler) Industrial engineering is a perfect degree to do a double major with as it is applicable in almost every field. Industrial engineers typically work for big companies, but they could also find jobs in smaller businesses, government or even nonprofit organizations.
