As technology advances, it creates tools aiding in education helping students learn hands on and offering new ways to prosper. An issue arises today all over the world that many educators are afflicted by, what type of technology does assist in students’ education. Smart phones create everyday life immensely efficient, but create the direct opposite effect in an educational environment and should be banned from the classroom. Many Students use their cell phone to take picture of notes, reviews, and material that could be singularly used to help them on an exam or assignment. This fabricates a possibility and temptation for cheating on schoolwork. Smart phones used by my peers and I usually consist of apps for social media, texting each other, and for some advancing levels on a pointless yet exceedingly addicting game. Kelly Graham teammate and Senior at McNeese University states, Snapchat and twitter is about 80 % use of my cell phone throughout the day the other 20 % is texting, apps, and my alarm. “Being a senior, I’ve learned a lot since my freshman year, my biggest lesson was learning to leave my smart phone in my back pack.” Graham emphasizes the struggle of paying attention during lectures, and how with a cell phone out it’s nearly impossible to focus. “When I would take my phone out during lectures, it would just hurt my grade the information being stated by my professor would go in one ear out the other I was more focused on the tweet I just read.” If Smart phones for students are used mainly for entertainment throughout the day, they will be used for entertainment throughout
