We have President Franklin D. Rooservallt to thanks for this organization. Just before the start of World War 2 in 1941, He wanted to unite many organizations into one “ to lift the morale of our military and nourish support on the home front.Those organzations were “ the Salvation Army, Young Men’s Christian Association, Young Women’s Christian Association, National Catholic Community Services, National Travelers Aid Association and the National Jewish Welfare Board ” which became the USO. You can donate to the USO through individual donations, ones made in the name of loved ones amd gifts that are for individuals that support the military and those people's familes. The organization had a 75th anniversary on Feb 4th, 2016. (https://www.uso.org/)

Their mission statement is “ USO strengthen american military service member by keep them connectd to family hine and county throughout theiur service to nation.” My first thought about this organization is that is does tours where peformers entertain the troopers. These tours goes from “one stop to a tour of multiple destinations” On average, they go on from 1 to 2 days when stateside and 7 to 10 days for ones overseas. They are at bases where the soldiers are serving as well as to “Walter Reed Army Medical Center and the National Naval Medical Center in the Washington, DC metropolitan area as well as at Landstuhl Regional Medical Center in Germany” when performers are given a chance to go there solely to see the
