Enrolling In PCC

Enrolling in PCC will help me reach my goals by preparing me and getting me ready for a four year college. Enrolling in PCC will help me tremendously on the financial side now that Oregon Promise is offered for the classes of 2016. Also, with the fact that PCC’s student to teacher ratio is 19:1, I can interact more with peers and have the ability to ask more questions, enhancing my communication skills that I will use throughout life.

After traumatically losing my leg in an accident I did not lose my positive attitude toward life or my desire to help others, I choose my own way to continue the path I was following before this tragedy struck. From the age of 18 as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to age 25 working as a Mental Health Associate (MHA) at a hospital, I chose to lead a life of service. My drive to assist others as a CNA would be the catalyst for me discovering that I wanted to be a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor. It was through my work that I discovered the common ground of suffering, but also the resilience of the human spirit.…
