“Enrique’s Journey”, written by Sonia Nazario, is a book based on a true story about a young boy named Enrique. Enrique has a long journey to return to his mother in the United States. He has many, hard, and troubling dilemmas on his journey, but he still continues to try to leave. A point in the story, Enrique has to make a decision whether to leave Honduras or stay. Enrique makes his decision to leave to the United States because he wants to earn money so he can buy himself a house. Also, Enrique wants to make his daughter, Jasmin, and his girlfriend, Maria Isabel, happy and proud. While trying to do that he also wants to show how much he loves Maria Isabel and wants to marry her, he gets a job so he can send them money to care for themselves.
