Segment [06:39-09:58] The inventors of Eniac, John Mauchly and Presper Eckert were reluctant to give up their dreams hence they started a computer company. Their first step was to find customers for their company. Eckert and Mauchly knew that their first customers were in the business community. The business community relied on punched card tabulating machines for record keeping and it was a tedious task. Eckert and Mauchly decided to sell their first computer to the U.S. census bureau. They signed a contract with the census bureau and the computer industry began. It is inspiring how the inventor of Eniac, Mauchly and Eckert didn't give up their dream. Although few people imagined the computer being sold around the world and being commonly used, Eckert and Mauchly had foresight and believed that computers could not only be used for science but also be used for business. By starting the first computer company, they made a change in the world’s business company.

The IBM sales force was the powerful legacy of Thomas Watson senior. He rewarded them with high commissions, inspired them with speeches, educated them in classrooms and punished them if they didn't the line. They soon convinced many people to buy computers and orders came pouring in. IBM 650 was slow however, easier to use. On the other hand, Uniac was efficient but people had to give up the old way when using it. The quote “salesman is the man who make things happen and nothing happens until something is sold” is inspiring. The IBM salesmen really made a change by selling more computers. Other companies had advantage over IBM in terms of technology, however Watson used the sales force brilliantly. He successfully led IBM to become the largest computer
