Eni Swot Analysis Essay

Eni has many strengths over it competitors and this will allow it to progressively advance in the future if theses strengths are utilized. One such strength that Eni has is that it is a renowned company in Italy and is already well know because of its history and its success over the years. Eni had a great success with combining their energy production with gas services by purchasing gas stations and expanding their market in that aspect. The company has changed from a public company to a private company, which allowed for cutting cost and expenditure discipline. For Eni this was needed because of their struggle with finances in the past. Being a private company allowed Eni to operate without political interference, and for Eni that was a struggle for them in many circumstances in the past.

Enis weaknesses would be in branching out to other gas and oil companies to partner with.The financially unstable location they are in currently cripples them in growth so expansion outside of Europe would lessen this financial trouble. The fact that Eni is having difficulty competing with so many other companies means that Eni has to change and change in a big way. The have to explore and their options more to partner with companies that will help them and not simply add a second source of revenue.
