Enhydra lutris has beautiful fur that looks fuzzy and cuddly. Its attractive fur was a major target for hunters for a warm coat (Lafferty, 2015). A study has revealed that Enhydra lutris population decline was enormous and was rapid after the Pacific maritime fur trade was initiated.
