English Reflection

Although, I have been challenged with multitudinous task during my English class this year, I have gathered a great deal of knowledge on many key attributes that will help me throughout my career; ranging anywhere from how to properly annotate, to depicting archetypes, and to building a cogent, convincing debate. During this half semester English class I have become much more knowledgeable than I ever were before.
Even though, many people believe that what they encountered in their english class is useless to them, what they don’t take in is the fact that it can change their entire life. Every little thing that anyone gathers from their classes, especially english, will benefit them in the future. For example, one factor that aided me during my college class was my knowledge of proper annotation. My teacher assigned a task where we had to analyze, interpret, and annotate the difficult reading material it correctly. In order to complete the assignment properly, I was supposed to highlight key points such as characters, settings, plot points, and make personal notes. Many may believe that it is an onerous task however, I believe that I gathered quite a bit of knowledge from it. For example, we were instructed to complete an assignment where we were to develop characters whom we will insert in a comic. Those characters had to depict certain attributes to reflect more of their archetype which would then tie into the comic's plot. The Hero having protagonist characteristics and the Villain having antagonist traits; thus resulting in a conflicted story. All in all, by participating in my English course I was able to conjure up character archetypes, allowing me to learn something that will help me in any situation where I have to create characters off the top of my
