Looking back at my high school English courses, I have reminisced on some of the challenges I have encountered. I took honors English each year with the exception of my junior year where I took on the challenge of taking AP Composition and Language. During my AP class we focused on writing argumentative essays and two other types of writing. The other three years, we wrote one to two page essays on a reflection of novels that we read during the year. If we met the basic criteria (introduction, three body paragraphs, conclusion and stayed on topic) then we would mainly get an A.
