The reason we have so many different languages is because we are the country of immigrants, with people from all walks of life but Spanish is the closest second language because of the Central America influence. The two most shockingly spoken languages are German and Hebrew. The reasons behind those being popular languages is because Germans flooded in when the New World was discovered and the United States has the largest Jewish population outside Israel. Lastly, Chinese being third is only because it is needed for business trade. With that many different languages floating in the United States it’s hard to be able to support all of them which is why establishing a main one is important
This process would take several months, maybe years to get through the judicial system and finally established but would be well worth it in the end. Enforcing English as our language would encourage new migrants to learn the language which would unify America which is the end goal.
