English 382 Reflective Report

The most precious lesson I learned from English 382 is how to participate, interact, coordinate, corporate and communicate with others and with myself. As an introvert who is used to complete the critical thinking process with oneself, it was significantly to have another individual join me through the thinking process. Therefore, the first few peer discussion in class seemed extremely challenging for me. However, in a long term,. I was able to develop my communication skill and my confidence, and utilized my advantages to contribute within the community.

Collaborating with other peers assists me to see my progress and my flaws from another perspective. Receiving critics from others could be hard sometimes, however, it is a great way to start

I've posted your earned mid-term grades in English 111 on Banner and will be glad to discuss your situation with you individually sometime next week, if you'd like. These are information grades. As usual, knowledge is power: What the grade tells you gives you a chance to be pro-active in ways that might ensure your success in the course. A proper response to a mid-term grade is neither resignation nor smugness. Without my forcing the issue, the overall average at mid-term in my two sections of English 111 happens to be exactly 2.0 or "C," a reasonable outcome for a first-semester college course, one that includes several failures by students who simply quit coming to class and submitting the assigned writing projects.…

Sometimes I still do not apply everything I have learned and I am not afraid to admit to that because we all make mistakes. This class has defiantly gave me a better understanding on how to write the “perfect” paper. Also it is nice to know that you can email your professor whenever and they will help you with whatever you need help with. The professor tries to answer questions as quickly as possible but she does have many other students.…

Over the course of this semester in my English 1320 class I have seen a drastic change throughout my writing style. Although I still have difficulties with a few writing tasks, I believe that I have improved significantly throughout this course. I have found that with my professor’s guidance along with my own personal editing that my grades have increased. Although it is difficult to not get caught up in simply striving for a letter grade or attaining a 4.0 grade point average, I would like to believe that my main goal was different. Of course I would love to achieve those goals as well, but overall my primary goal throughout this class was to become more relaxed and comfortable in my writings, to use new strategies and proper kinds of conventions, and to truly find a way to express my passion on these papers.…

Reflection as a Counsellor. This was a learning curve in for me in this course and I enjoyed been the counsellor even though, I was a little worried about this assessment session been that it was my first client assessment. I was mindful of my report, because the context of why the assessment and/or test were administered is important. Gersten (2013) highlights the importance of having competency to administer, score and interpret the result of a test to explain what the scores mean. Otherwise, the sores can be vague and ambiguous to the client with no practical utility.…

I can reflect back on being in your 10th Grade English Class listening to you prepare my class and I for this very time in our lives. We are studying and will be exploring four objectives in my EN 213 Course here at Alcorn State University and I am almost certain that I am well prepared for them. For each objective, I have my own perspective on what I think each one means and this is what will help me understand them even better. For example, our first objective is to read and appreciate literary texts. This objective is very much self-explanatory because we will be doing just what it says “read and appreciate” which means we will be reading a text and comprehending or understanding it to the extent where we can tell our instructor what happened in the text, why it happened, and what we think would have happened next.…
