This semester, my writing, editing, problem solving, organization, comprehension, and communication skills as an English 20-1 student have improved. Some of the challenges that I’ve faced as a writer were starting an essay, trying to incorporate academic vocabulary, and putting details into my work. The essay question we received for Macbeth was extremely challenging. After mulling over the question and still not understanding what it was asking, I solved my problem by dissecting it into pieces and determining what each piece meant, changing words or phrases as I went into terms that I could easily understand.
