Ms. Williams Reflection

Improved Essays
During my semester in English 1302 with Ms. Williams, I had the hope of finishing this course successfully with an “A” based on how well I did in English 1301. I found myself frustrated and confused most of the time. With this class, came my biggest fear. Fear of not being able to pass the course. Ms. Williams’ class has been one of the most challenging courses I have been. It helped me grow as a writer, reader and built my vocabulary. There have been numerous times that I struggled to understand how the questions or instructions came across to me. Besides the fact that I was struggling, I did not give up on myself. I regularly read the material that was given to the class and source help from the writing center routinely. An example will be the unfortunate result I got from the Reader-responds essay I wrote. I did struggle with most of the coursework, which left me wondering whether it had to do with the fact that I had to combine a full-time job with my already packed writing

Despite these initial thoughts and preconceived notions, I did, for the most part, enjoy the class.…

Throughout the course of this English class I have struggled as a writer and as well with myself. Reading the description of the English 104 course I second guess myself as fear and anxiety overcame me, as a rockslide pounding against the floor. With enough confidence in my high school writing abilities I decided to enroll in this rigorous and accelerated English course. On the first day of being a college student I was already overwhelmed by the amount of work I have already received, and was soon consumed by my own emotions when entering English 104.…
