I aim to collaborate with my peers, and then move from their, I believe that five heads are better than just one. One drawback of being a leader that Professor Michelle mentions is the pressure of performing a specific way, and I completely agree with this. Relating it back to soccer, as a goalkeeper you are expected to be a leader on the pitch, and sometimes that pressure to be a leader and focus on your own performance, is a lot to handle sometimes. While for Professor Christensen she has the pressure of teaching us and balancing her own school work. She maintains this standard for herself as trying to make sure my students are learning and feel comfortable with the material we’re exploring in class. Lastly, everyone has people they look up to, my professor's role models are Kurt Cobain, Judith Butler, and Michel Foucault. Focusing on just Judith Butler, she inspires her the most because Judith encourages Michelle to continue challenging herself in academia by working with various fields of study, and to strive to be the best scholar she can be. Overall, role models are people you ultimately look up to and try to mirror yourself after, and this is who my teacher tries to mirror herself
