English 101 Reflection

During my Semester in English 101 with Professor Nault, I learned a lot and developed many skills that were hidden. Seeing that this is my second time taking English 101, I have improved this last season around. Professor Nault class has helped me grow as a writer. I realized there is more to writing than just putting words on paper. Improving my writing can be confusing and often frustrating, but when done well, the book changed my thinking. I learned that the first step to writing an essay is to read a annotate the article that pertains to the essay’s topic. Make a well-detailed thesis is a next step in the written essay. Throughout this semester, I learned how to summarize, paraphrase, and quote information an article. Summarizing as well as paraphrasing has the distinction, but can be periodically gathered together. With both summarizing and paraphrasing, must have a strong understanding of the article’s argument. To summary or paraphrase, the article’s main points must be present and discussed a few concise sentences.
The difference between summarizing as well as paraphrasing an article is that paraphrasing must-have the information to be cited while summarizing gives an overview of the entire article.
