1.Introduction
With the development of science and technology, increasing number of countries develop a lot of different renewable energy resources, including solar, hydro, wind, biomass, wave energy, tidal energy, ocean thermal energy, to replace “non-renewable energy resources (coal, oil, natural gas, oil shale and nuclear)” (REN21, 2010, P.15). I think that the use of renewable energy is the inevitable result of the development of modern society, so it is very necessary to carry out this resource. Moreover, many countries face energy and environmental problems, for example, the growing demand for finite resources, temperature change and global warming. So that renewable resources become significant. This essay is divided into three parts. The benefits of renewable energy are described. This essay also mentions impacts of energy supply, energy security and environment.

Nowadays, with the growing demand for energy, general non-renewable energy (oil and coal) has been unable to meet the human’s basic needs. Therefore, because of the limited production of coal and oil, a lot of resources on earth will be used up after 100 years. Now the research and development of renewable energy sources are main task in the modern city, and how to maintain the balance between supply and demand of modern society also needs to be studied. In many countries, such as Britain, the United States, spending time to develop the wind and solar power, which are most common renewable energies. Those resources will never be used up. The electrical energy from wind and solar can be used for home heating and electricity supply. The wind farm and power station can generate an inexhaustible energy, and decrease the excessive consumption of non-renewable
