Fred looked out the window.
He saw Rory and Felix going to the park.
Rory looked happy.
Fred liked to see Rory happy.
He wondered what Felix could have said to Rory to make him so happy.

Fred took a bottle of alcohol out of the fridge and sat down.
He took a drink. He took another drink and another until the bottle was finished.
Fred started to feel tired.
He was thinking about Rory and how happy he looked going to the park with Felix.
It had been a while since Rory looked happy.
