The Doctorate of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree is the highest level of education available in the field. Generally, DNP program accentuate areas that promote nursing leadership, such as systems management, quality improvement and data-driven decision making (Nursing.org, 2017). The DNP delivers practice-based training on the clinical applications of higher-level nursing knowledge (Nursing.org, 2017). In several RCTs, compliance was higher with FOBTs than with endoscopic screening. Compliance of FOBTs may drop over time, as it requires performing annually. Endoscopic screening entails higher yield of advanced neoplasia than FOBT, but the relative impact of either modality on CRC mortality remains unknown (Garborg et al., 2013). Ethnic group preferences and a possibility to choose between screening modalities may lead to better overall compliance. In most countries where screening programs are launched, the availability of tests will be limited by costs and endoscopy resources (Garborg et al., 2013). Nonetheless, continuous adaptation of the best local strategy may be possible by introducing different elements of a screening program, such as invitational procedures and public awareness initiatives with a randomized, comparative effectiveness approach (Garborg et al., 2013).
