Endometriosis is a condition where the endometrial tissue outside the uterus causes pelvic pain and the tissue that lines the uterus grows outside of it. Females are associated with this conditioned because of the inner lining of the uterus is being affected. “Endometriosis is mostly common with women in their 30’s and 40’s; it affects about 5 million American women”, claimed the Women’s Health, U.S Department of Health and Human Services. It can be theorized that endometriosis is a genetic disorder because it can be carried based upon the specified conditions passed within the blood line.
Symptoms for endometriosis are lower abdominal pain, menstrual irregularities, infertility, pain in bowel movement and urination, and stated by the Mayo Clinic Patient Care and Health Info, the condition also causes “painful blisters covering the inside of the pelvis.” In good cases, endometriosis is not fatal, but the cells within the endometrium called endometrial cells, form into cysts and can rupture causing internal bleeding which can widespread within the lower abdominal, pelvic region of the body.
