The career I plan on pursuing is being an endocrinologist, an endocrinologist is a doctor trained in medicine with a specialization in endocrinology. I am interested in pursuing this profession due to the fact that most endocrinologists work with diabetics, this directly affects me due to myself being a diabetic. An additional reason why I want to pursue endocrinology is my interest in the human body, my personal interest about how the body operates intrigues me to a point that I don’t want to stop learning from how it operates. Endocrinologists are doctors that diagnose diseases related to your endocrine system, anywhere from natural chemical to hormonal imbalances in the patient’s body. You first must Earn good grades to enter in a school that allows you to get a bachelor’s degree. Main focus in their studies must be science related, such as Biology, Anatomy, or Chemistry to best prepare themselves for the Medical College Admission Test (MCAT). This test/exam is a mandatory test to enter medical school according to the Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC). Test is typically taken on the students Junior year of study. After completing medical school you will either earn a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathy (D.O.) accredited from the medical college. The medical school program consists of 4 years.
