For instance, three characters who are Alai, Petra, and Valentine always stand by for Ender even through his toughest times. Firstly, Alai sticks by Ender throughout the whole novel. Alai says to Ender “always my friend, always the best of my friends” (Card, 69). This is one of Ender’s first true friends at battle school. Secondly, a girl named Petra befriends Ender even though the rest of her army dislikes Ender. For one thing, Petra says to Ender “If you want I’ll take you in the off hours and show you some of the things I know” (Card, 79). Petra offers to help Ender because no one else will help Ender. Lastly, Ender and Valentine have a very strong relationship. When Ender is deciding whether he should go to battle school or not, he thinks to himself, “But to leave Mother and Father, and above all, Valentine” (Card, 21). Ender does not want to leave Valentine because she is the only person that actually cares about him. To sum up, Ender learns that true friends are always there for you, because of how Alai sticks by his side, Petra befriends him even though the rest of her army dislikes Ender, and how Valentine and Ender have such a strong bond between each

Ender’s Game Adaptation Movie Review Gavin Hood’s Adaptation of Orson Scott Card’s Ender’s Game is an adventurous thrill ride. Ender Wiggin played by Asa Butterfield, is a third that was not really appreciated for being the third child in his family, a third that ended up being a successful recruit for the Battle School, where Ender is being pushed to his breaking point with all of the lies they are feeding him. It seems this movie took a lot of time and effort to create, with all of the scenes and technology upgrades. This movie is a good adaptation to the book because it brings all of the action moments in the book to the screen.…

How would you feel if you were approached at random in your own home to go to a place where each day you’d be fighting for your life? Well, this was what happened to Ender Wiggins. Ender’s Game is a science fiction story focusing on battles between different armies throughout space. It leads to a search for different soldiers all trying for one ultimate goal: beating the returning champions, the “Buggers.” When looking at both the film and the novel, in my opinion, the book was superior.…

Ender Wiggin: The Innocent Weapon In Ender’s Game, by Orson Scott Card, Ender is a very controversial character. Many people believe that he is a killer with a violent spirit, and that he meant to commit genocide, while I disagree. I believe that Ender has an innocent spirit, a friendly conscience, and was repeatedly used as a weapon. He was provoked when fighting Stilson and Bonzo, was constantly controlled by the adults, and did not have the intent of genocide on the buggers.…

Take a good look at him, little boys. He’s going to be a commander when you’re still in diapers up there.” (31-32) Being friendless forced Ender to learn to be alone and live in isolation like Graff wanted.
