Ender Movie Analysis

This will be the most boring essay ever. It all starts with a boy, a young boy, his name is Ender. There is something wrong with this boy and his family. First off his oldest sibling, Peter, would kill little animals, well not kill, but simply torture them. Then his sister, Valentine, cares way too much to the point of manipulating people. And finally ender the youngest of this messed up family, has the ability of both and he is torn between the emotions every single day and this is what shapes his life and WHY he is chosen to run the fleet. In the end the best story teller was the book, it brought more of a surreal image in my head and I felt like I could imagine myself in the story. The movie was to cut and dry, it took too much of …show more content…
In the book ender was treated highly with the grownups but that was just a trick to make Enders life harder with his social life. As well as in the movie they did the same thing and in the end it ended up having ender almost killed. One similarity that was almost spot on was when Ender found out the “Game” was reality and the destroyed a whole civilization. With that he had a panic attack and was sad as can be and he regrets his decisions. Another similarity was the ending when Ender found out the creatures were actually trying to communicate with them and Ender found one of the last queen eggs. With the egg he went out on his own to raise a ne …show more content…
In the book when Ender tries to take off the mask Peter tells Ender to keep it on and to continue fighting, but in the movie when he takes off the mask Peter lets him. In the book it shows that Peter is more of a controlling brother, but in the movie it shows Peter doesn’t really care what Ender does. Another difference is the way the battles were held. In the book it showed more of a progression of the battles and showed how more and more the school was breaking the rules. Well in the movie it went from Ender getting his team to them having to fight two people at once. The progression in the movie was terrible and didn’t explain anything. One other difference with the book and the movie was the view of the outside world and how it changed why Ender was in the school. In the book Ender was in the school without communication to his family or anyone, so in the book it showed us what was happening why he was away and how Valentine and Peter changed. Why in the book it didn’t show us anything going on in the outside world. The only time was when Ender tried to quite battle school, but that showed little to no detail of what was happening.
In the end the book shows a more detailed explanation of what was going on. The book had more detail and was more descriptive with what was happening and why. As of the movie it was more straight forwarded and cut down in detail a lot. It was like the

Ender’s Game Adaptation Movie Review Gavin Hood’s Adaptation of Orson Scott Card’s Ender’s Game is an adventurous thrill ride. Ender Wiggin played by Asa Butterfield, is a third that was not really appreciated for being the third child in his family, a third that ended up being a successful recruit for the Battle School, where Ender is being pushed to his breaking point with all of the lies they are feeding him. It seems this movie took a lot of time and effort to create, with all of the scenes and technology upgrades. This movie is a good adaptation to the book because it brings all of the action moments in the book to the screen.…

It gave exquisite details on how each individual part happened and how each character responded. Supporting my thesis, the novel was more intriguing than the movie. Each event was described clearly, whereas in the film many were left out or unspoken of. I feel as if the movie focused on just the main parts of the story, but in the book every little obstacle was written out. Therefore, I have given various examples as to why the book was better than the film, along with the major similarities and differences of the…

Ender was an isolated, third born young man who was raised knowing he had to defeat the buggers. He was forced by his family and the government who told him he was born for one reason and one reason only, to defeat the buggers. At a young age, Ender was recruited into Battle School to learn how to fight the buggers and he did so well that he became the best commander and moved up to Command school to control the simulator. When he was fighting in the “simulated games”, he was actually fighting real buggers and was in real battles, but he didn’t find this out until every bugger was killed. The book was better than the movie because the book had more details and action while the movie left many details…

But what I love most about this book is how it showed that kids are capable of making big decisions like adults. “"Ender's Game"” relates to everyday life because we all fight internal and external battles. One example of this is when Ender has to leave his sister to go to battle school. I would say that this is an internal battle because he loves his sister so much that it is hard to leave her. This relates to life because you might have to leave schools or move and have to leave your friends behind.…

Ironically due to the storyline; the book is better than the movie, because it is shows better description, character analysis, and it gets the point across to the reader to show what leads up to the main idea. While, the movie it is more vague and fast paced so it's hard to comprehend the storyline. The book is more illustrative than the movie. For example, the…

It is a story with meaning behind the text to give the reader a life lesson about the importance of family, and how war affects it. Actions throughout the book made by the main character caused major impacts on the course of the story. Ender’s character changes dramatically from the beginning to the end of the story both mentally and physically. Overall, if you haven’t read the book, this story is surely one that should be at the top of your…

In “The Landlady”, Billy Weaver is lured into a seemingly normal bed and breakfast by an old lady who, despite her gentle and unthreatening appearance, wants to kill him. It is a story about how those with cruel intent may take advantage of those who are innocent and naive. Although the book and the movie can be arguably similar if generalized, there are many differences that may change the way a reader/viewer may grasp the concept of the story. Since a movie and book cannot be exactly the same, the film version is bound to have things that differ from the text. One example of how the book develops the development of the story is with the setting.…

“Lame…” is what I thought to myself once I finished watching the movie “The Maze Runner.” In my opinion, I thought that The Maze Runner book was way better than the movie. When I read the book, I believe I was a sophomore in Ms. Brown’s class and I shockingly liked the book. The reason why I say shockingly is because I never read books and when I do, I rarely like them. After we read the book we watched the movie, and I thought that it was a real disappointment.…

It seems an unfair view to expect a movie about a book to be exactly the same down to every single detail. Communities of fans will always find something wrong with a story, for it has “failed” to match expectation. Books are a place where someone can be dragged into the story and forget about everything else for a short while. Movies do the exact same thing, except it is seen as an easier way than books for a lot of people. Ignoring obvious differences (such as the fact that one is in picture form, and the other is in words), movies and books may not be so different after all.…
