It was later in the evening and Kevin has just gotten home with two big dead deers thrown over each of his shoulders. He places them down on top of a big blanket and starts cleaning his hands in the sink of all of the blood. He then hears a woman yelling from the other side of the giant room.
“Kevin? Are you home?”
“Yes mother I am, and I got a lot of food for the next couple of days” Kevin responds to the voice.
He got on his apron and his gloves and his set of knives that he likes to use.
“My goodness Kevin we are going to get in trouble!” Said Kevin’s mother
“Mother they will never know, we can just hide it and then just eat it. The important thing here, mother is that we will have enough food for the next couple of weeks. Would you …show more content…

“No I’ll be fine, I just need take off the skin and then just chop it up into pieces. Are you going to want to keep the fur? To make a rug or something?”
“Umm just save it outside, I’ll find someway to use it.”
Kevin spent all night skinning and chopping up the deer being careful to not make a lot of noise since his whole family was asleep. He put the skin outside hanging so that it can dry just like his mother had said. Kevin was now only 14 years old but he was the only one in his family that was allowed to go out and hunt for his family of 7. Kevin overslept the next morning waking up at 11am. Walking into the living room he hears his grandpa telling stories about the old new world and how time was simpler then, and how much the world has changed.
“Oh grandpa stop telling stories about that. It’s useless” Kevin says rolling his eyes walking into the room that was considered the kitchen.

My birthday was 5 days away and I was so excited because it meant I was going to be able to do whatever I wanted. I was coming home from school when I heard the news was on and they were having a special broadcast about information about the earth. They showed all of the endangered animals, and I mean all of them. All of the sea animals and especially the amphibians which were dieing and going extinct a lot more so than any other type of animal. They had a lot of facts and statistics about how the earth was becoming warmer and how this was affecting everything around us. They said that if we continued to do what we have been doing for centuries then that we would all die in 3-6 years. I didn’t think much of it, I thought they were just going to force us to recycle more or do some weird hippie crap that I knew I was going to hate. That night was the last night I slept in a normal house, the last time I hear cars running, lights everywhere, the last time I saw computers, televisions, and everything that was considered dangerous for this earth. The next morning I heard a loud knock on our door. My mom comes into my room telling me to take whatever I can of my stuff and whatever I could take I did. I took the largest backpack and stuffed anything I could in there. I never questioned anything I just went with the flow. As soon as we got outside of our house there was this person standing outside and with a click of a button they
