One can find End of the Road on display at one of the local art displays known as The Fine Arts Society of Middle Georgia. End of the Road is great piece of art that shows many signs of symbolism, uses of color, and depicts many different countries. Beth Smith is a local artist that resides in Kathleen, Georgia. Beth shows some of her art at The Fine Arts Society of Middle Georgia that is located in Warner Robins. Beth is a self-taught artist and has been in the art field for around sixteen years. Beth has been a graphic artist, criminal composite artist, and now, a self-employed artist. Smith was given credit for the capture of a murder in the 1990’s due to her excellent composite drawings. This is a strong painting; it shows the falling of the world’s economy. If one pays attention to the golden brick road it is made of gold bars that are melting away into an abyss. There is a rusty road sign from Wall St. that has fallen depicting the collapse of the economy and Americas infamous Wall St.; where stocks and bonds are traded and sold daily as well as many other deals take place. The scarecrow in the painting has a € on it’s lapel which is a symbol for the euro; which is the currency of Europe. The leaves on the stalks of corn are illustrated as the United States paper money one, five, ten, and twenty dollar bills. All this currency will be no good once the global economy is destroyed because of everyone’s greed. Greed, at this time is stronger than ever in the world.
