1. What are the issues that arrive at the end of life?
One end of life issue is making sure there is will set in place for whomever the individual wishes to pass down to. It is important to make sure a will is set in place because if not, it may cause disputes between members of the family. Often times people avoid setting wills because it causes feelings of anxiety about death. Preparing for death is not something most people want to do. The term Cavanaugh and Blanchard-Fields (2015) refers to this is called a “final scenario”. They define this as “making such choices known about how they do ad do not want their lives to end” (p. 388). The authors say one of the most difficult parts of a final scenario is separating from family and close friends. As it comes down to the final period before a person death, individual express their love to the dying people. However, if they do not do this, they will feel as thought they do not have any closure which may cause bitterness towards the deceased. In contrast, younger adults are more anxious about dying. This is due to what Cavanaugh and Blanchard-Fields (2015) say the “discrepancy between desired and expected number of years left to live for young-old adults” (p. 384). older adults they are less concerned about dying because they find living not as enjoyable as it once was when they were younger. older adults have already experienced loss in their lives and have accepted their own mortality. They know their time for dying is coming so they do not stress about dying as much. Also, older adults have diseases which make them com to term about the time they have left. Middle-aged adults have a change in the sense of their life and try to make sense of their life moving forward before dying. At this stage in life, they might start to change their lifestyle and accept they are getting older which mean death is
