Introduction
The end of dieting is a book about the different health issues and eating habits that we as Americans seem to have. The author of this book talks about the different diets that we use to lose weight. Some of the diet styles that the author talks about are those of the standard American diet, Paleo diet, and the Mediterranean diet just to name a few. The main objective of losing weight and keeping it off in this book is to incorporate natural plants food, onions, beans, and mushrooms to name a few. I will incorporate in my book review the importance of eating and staying healthy as well as the foods we need to incorporate in our diet to stay healthy and maintain a healthy weight.

The author suggested in the book to first eat up on salads like natural plant foods, with this food the author suggest that you fill your body up with the good stuff first instead of the unhealthy things. I like how the book talks about us needing to eat more berries, vegetables, with these foods the author talks about we can balance out a diet and fill our caloric needs. Fuhrman talks about the food pyramid having included breads, oils, and chicken to the chart. Fuhrman talks about processed foods account for 30 percent of animal products, both which lack antioxidants and phytochemicals. I to agree with this, both oils and bread account for so many calories to which us as Americans love to consume. Ask yourself when was the last time you went to a restaurant and the hostess didn’t bring out some type of bread are oil for your appetizer, the answer to is more than likely never. The food pyramid is a diagram developed by the United States Department of Agriculture. It’s a tool that helped people track their food intake. The food pyramid composed of six to eight servings of bread, cereal, rice and pasta; three to six servings of meat, poultry, fish, beans and nuts. Scientist seem to suggest the food pyramid is all wrong, according to Dr. Walter Willett, chairman of the Nutritional Department. One example of this is that “he suggests that the food pyramid was written by the Department of Agriculture, not the agencies established to protect our health (Lewis, 2016).” The other example is that “Dr. Willett suggest it would have been better if the food pyramid where written by the National Institute of Health, or the Institute of Medicine, Willett suggest the problem is that what’s good for agricultural interest isn’t necessarily
