Presently, it is hard to find people who actually have an original and unique sense of style. For example, young girls will rarely ever show off their interests and hobbies. They would rather express attitude in the way they dress. I must admit that it is difficult to avoid the temptation of dressing like everybody else. One of the arguments Thoreau makes during the chapter Economy: Part II is that people are judged too much by what they wear. I agree with his statement; people shouldn’t have to worry about what clothes they wear. In paragraph 14, Thoreau says, “Most behave as if they believed that their prospects for life would be ruined if they should do it (wear a patch over their knee to mend their pants). It would be easier for them to hobble to town with a broken leg than with a broken pantaloon.” Although today many people don’t care what someone wears, people still judge you depending on what you wear.…

The Bible contains many accounts of the efforts these enemies have produced, but the Book of Mormon sheds further light on the subject, and will help the people in these lat- ter days to be prepared to face such opposition.…

I enjoy getting dressed up for fancy events. I feel uncomfortable in crop tops that are cropped too much and skirts/shorts that or too short. While I never think too hard when shopping at the mall, it is quite apparent to me that my fashion choices are not actually so personal to me. “You have to smell it, you have to hear it, you have to feel it, everything” said Emily Cook, an American Freestyle Skier. Two weeks before the 2002 Winter Olympics, Emily fractured her left foot and tore her ligaments in both of her feet. After all the painful surgeries, Emily felt deeply discouraged and believed it was impossible to participate in the Olympics (Clarey, 2014). Nicole Detling, a Sport Psychologist, worked with Emily on mental imagery; Nicole first used a healing imagery by training Emily to imagine her bones slowly healing. Then, Detling trained Emily to write down every detail of a perfect run, the feeling of the cold air touching her neck, the muscles she is using, and how she would land (Clarey, 2014).…
