Emts And Paramedics Case Study

Decent Essays
Employment for EMTs and Paramedics is expected to grow 9% between 2008 and 2018. Growth for this job is due to aging members becoming more likely to have medical problems which will increase the demand for EMTs and Paramedics. Hospitals are increasingly treating an illness or injury which will result in more people to be transported to the hospital. For more demand of transfers result in the demand for paramedics and EMTs. Job prospects should be favorable because multiple openings should arise from the growth needed to replace EMTs and paramedics that leave their job. They would leave because there is little to no potential for advancement and pay increase. Which in result full time paid workers will be needed to take the spot of the volunteers

Once they are with the injured person they have to quickly apply bandages or a splint or whatever they need to give to the injured person. After that if the person requires more attention then it is the EMT or Paramedic responsibility to get the person to the nearest hospital as fast as they can.…
