EMTs and Paramedics are responsible for keeping people alive and helping transport them to the nearest hospital if needed. As an EMT when they arrive on scene they have to be able to analyze the situation and get to the injured person quickly. When they are with the injured person they have to check to see what’s wrong and ask if the person is actually injured unless it is obvious, for example if they are bleeding or if the wound is visible. Once they are with the injured person they have to quickly apply bandages or a splint or whatever they need to give to the injured person. After that if the person requires more attention then it is the EMT or Paramedic responsibility to get the person to the nearest hospital as fast as they can. While
