A survivor’s heart beats with empowerment to have the strength to get through the hardest of times. When one goes through a difficult situation that changes their thinking or outlook they need to find their own self empowerment. Know yourself empowerment is an inside job, create a reason to get back up and find the strength to stay up. Going through difficult situations is like surviving a storm; things get damaged in the storm, and then rebuild. Focusing on something like a goal helps one move on to better and helps them rebuild the damage. In the managing traumatic stress simulation gave a more literal look at rebuilding. In class the room was a mess as a group the class knew that they needed to rebuild and get ready for class. That was the main focus, to rebuild after the destruction. As for in life’s difficult situations, one needs to do the same find their purpose, make it a goal, focus on that goal, and work until one achieves it.
