How Housing The Homeless Is Not Effectively Solving The Homelessness Problems?
The problem of homelessness has been always a common case in all big cities everywhere. The root comes from a wide range of reasons, from social economy to personal issues, such as drug or alcohol addiction or mental state. The demographic for homelessness also vary from adults to kids due to so many reasons and occurrences in different levels.
In the case of homeless children, Judy Daniels, the author of “Empowering homeless children through school counseling” explains that homelessness case starts to draw social attention nationwide when a large number of families comprises of single mothers with multiple children leave the children unattended for their needs and care. Although, efforts were made to enroll these children in school to prevent them straying the street, teachers are not fully equipped physically and mentally to deal with the homeless children’s conditions related to hygienic affair and lack of decency standards.
