As a team leader of scientific recruiters, I was able to utilize my leadership skills and recieved exposure to the job requirements of various clinical professionals. I led a team of recruiters and offered conceptual knowledge of the terminology used in clinical environments. The companies which I staffed for included: Novartis, Biogen, Bayer, Abbott, and Exedra. I learned a great deal about the job requirements of many types of professionals, as well as, what it takes to bring a specific drug to market. Dennis Ledford, once a week, for 4 months. This distinguished medical professional guided me in the “ ins and outs” of Medicine, and helped me understand what to expect from a career in medicine. Observing a physician in a clinical environement for such a long period of time, allowed me to gain first-hand experience of the daily life and routine of a physician in a hospital setting. I was able to observe and gain insight into the interrelations between physician and patient care, diagnostics, patient consults, and criteria and protocols utilized in the selection of treatment options.
