For almost one hundred years the Empire State Building has been operating as one of New York's most prominent buildings. The Empire State Building is a unique building that is notorious for its structure, history, and present usage. The Empire State Building has stood as a symbol of great accomplishments because of its height and other modern features (“The Empire State Building”). The Retrofit Program is a new program that the Empire State Building leaders, operators, and employees have started. This program has given the building an eco-friendly makeover which includes creating renewable wind power and other types of green power for the building to run on.
