These movies provided us with a clear fundamental message of fatherhood and the challenges that a father figure has to face in this world. From the beginning of time, no matter what your beliefs are regarding history, the male father figure has always displayed a trait of a "Provider" and "Protector". If we look at the history from a biblical perspective, we see the Prophets and the Messenger of God as a leading father figure in most biblical events. From the story of Abraham (Hazrat Ibrahim A.S.), when he had to face the most testing of tasks, which was to sacrifice his son, in that situation we see a deep love and the instinctual urge to keep his son safe. A Prophet is a man who never questions the commandment of God, yet in this case, Abraham was left in a state of worry, since he needed to fulfill his Lord's commandments, whilst his love for his son was also keeping him from taking such a step. In order to simplify the role of a father, we can take a lesson from the animal kingdom, since human emotions are quite complex and are not easily quantified. In the animal kingdom, the most prominent role of a father figure can be seen in the case of emperor penguins. Like in the movie we talked about earlier, "The Pursuit of Happiness"; in the case of emperor penguins, the males are given the duty to care for and incubate the egg, whilst the female leave them in order to hunt and forage for food. The male emperor penguins remain strong and brave his way through snowstorms and icy winds, just to keep the egg warm and allow the baby penguin to develop. No other father figure from the animal kingdom has shown such dedication towards its offspring in the early stages of its development other than the male seahorse with an entirely different
