Reading might seem as if it’s a waste of time, but literature gets you to experience a variety of emotions and events that would probably take years or never to experience. Literature improves the understanding another person’s perspective, which is the best way to build empathy. It also helps expand the way a person sees the world and conception in vocabulary.
The more a person reads, especially from different types of genres and authors, the more ways a person has of looking at the world around them as each writer presents a unique perspective and mode of comprehending what it means to be human.
