The novel revolves arounds the idea that the “end justifies the means” it's horrible that they are manipulating children to killers but on the other hand humanity is at stake. Battle School breaks down the children to mind, body and morality to become an effective soldier, Ender comes to understand and even accept that he is a tool. This novel teaches many lessons like leaders should be compassion. Ender learns the most from those who most oppose of him. Ender plays the battle games so well because he understands the enemy because of this Colonel Graff adopts the policy of isolation around Ender to make the other children around Ender enemies.
