When someone is happy in most of times, the person must has positive self-esteem. In the movie “Inside out”, before Riley is happy, so she did a good job in her team, she is almost the beat in her team. This shows the good emotions can give one positive self-esteem. After Riley moved, she became alone that she wouldn’t like to set with the others during lunch because her emotion let her feel she was not belong to happy anymore. Thus she was having a negative emotions caused she became dissocial. All in all, the emotions are important because they can affect one’s self-esteem, the positive self-esteem is necessary for everyone.
Fifth, the emotions can affect one deciding the defense mechanisms. When someone is feeling generally ok, the person won’t decide to do anything harmful for the others if the person is normal. In the movie “Inside Out”, during Joy was in her mind, compensation is what she would like to do, she tried her best to find something fun to make the air full of happiness. When Joy left, she decided to go back to Minnesota to denial what she really feel and caused her parents worried about her. Thus, emotions are acting an important position in deciding the defense
